As in Hogwarts V1: The Basilisk, Scarlett Whitehead was blamed for two deaths caused by a basilisk, and expelled as a result. Now she resides in Hogsmeade village, working at Madam Puddingfoot's Teashop as a waitress. After a prefect accidentally runs into the kind-hearted Hufflepuff in Hogsmeade village, he/she becomes determined that Scarlett is not responsible for the death of the professor and the prefect.
Upon the prefect's return to Hogwarts, he/she announces that the case of Scarlett Whitehead should be re-opened. The issue it brought before the Headmaster, and the Headmaster tells the prefect that if he/she can find enough new evidence that would prove Scarlett innocent, then the case would be re-opened and Scarlett may return to Hogwarts if she is proven innocent. The prefect, however, cannot acquire any help from the professors, but he/she may use his/her powers and resources as a prefect as freely as he/she likes.
At the same time, the centaurs speak of mysterious attacks on animals in the Forbidden Forest. A few animals carcasses are found by the Gamekeeper on Hogwarts grounds. At night, a few souls that dare to brave to forest say that they had spotted a giant dark shadow, lurking near the school. Is someone plotting against Hogwarts again, or is it the same person who was responsible for the death of two?
The prefect, determined to find out the truth behind the case, starts to convince other prefects to help him/her (and shall be unsuccessful in a few cases) and starts interviewing those who were close to the dead ones as well as those who are suspected that they know something about the truth. As he/she digs deeper to the truth, the more confusing and horrifying the truth becomes...
So this idea was born when I was typing up the Basilisk plot's summary. I know that I kind of exaggerated at the end and made it sound like a mystery novel... And though it involves a large scale of people (as I am allowing people to create memory altered charries that had taken-part in the Basilisk event; see more about the event at Hogwarts V1), it probably isn't going to have EVERYONE involved...so idk. Maybe this could be a side plot that goes along with the main plot.
