Brooklyn strolled into her dorm and dropped herself on to the bed tiredly. "Mph, I already missed my bed even though it's only the beginning of day." She mumbled. After struggling to get up for a few minutes, she sat up and shot daggers at the clock. Absentmindedly, she asked her room mate - Gumi: "So, what are we going to do now? Do you have classes? If not, maybe we can go to Hogsmeade or something." She yawned as she stood up lazily, raising a brow in question.

"Not right now, at least not that I know of." Gumi shook her head as she set her books down on the nightstand beside her. "We could go to...what was that teashop's name again? Madam Puddingfoot? I can't remember. Anyways, I heard from my brother that he overheard some Hufflepuff girls talking about how the mini donuts there were absolutely delicious. We could go to Hogsmeade and try it out, if you like." she suggested as she sat down on her bed, smiling as she waited for Brooklyn's "yes." There was no way the other girl would say "no." She knew her all too well.

"Donuts?" Brooklyn turned around a little too fast, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "Yeah! We should go to Madam Puddingfoot! I'll race you there, loser has to pay." Not waiting for a response, she sprinted as fast as she could out of the dorm. "By the way, you and your brother talk about weird stuff, you know." She shouted across her shoulder to the other girl, her voice fainting in the hallways due to the far distance.

"Not fair! You got a head start!" Gumi shouted as she jumped up and hurried out of the room. "And whatever! It's summer, we're siblings, we have a right to be weird together!" Her voice was light with happiness as she ran out of the dorm, swinging the door shut behind her as she dashed after her friend through the hallways and down the staircase. "I should get to only pay 90% if I lose since I told you!"
