The Great Hall in Hogwarts is the main gathering area in the school. Students eat their meals, receive daily owl posts, and have certain special events. The Great Hall is a large hall that can easily hold all of the school's students, staff and guests. It has tall walls that reach up to the ceiling, which is enchanted to look like the sky above.

Zel stepped into the Great Hall with grace and posture. It was a new year in Hogwarts, her fourth year, now. The place still hadn't changed much; still sticking and reeking of muggles-borns and blood traitors, Gryffindor show-offs and Ravenclaw smartie-pants and Hufflepuff dumbheads. The same old place that she had known for three years. It was only slightly more bearable in the Slytherin common room and the Quidditch pit. She wrinkled her nose. If it weren't for the fact that her family couldn't afford to move, she'd be running off to Durmstrang by now. Setting her books down carefully, she sat down at the Slytherin table.

"Zel!" Ada, a third year student in the Slytherin house stammered over, holding her books close to her chest, as well as a small little bag clutched in her hands. She looked a lot better than she did a few years ago where apparently people decided to bring the plague of something over to Hogwarts for Ada to catch. She sat down next to her and smiled. "How have you been? Did you have a nice summer?"

"Well, it couldn't get any worse, I suppose." Zel said as she smiled towards Ada. "I've been fairly good, other than the fact that my parents keep bothering me from time to time during the break. I did get to play Quidditch with a few of my friends though, which was probably the most enjoyable thing I've done during the summer. How was your summer? I sure hope that it was much more pleasurable than mine." she said as she pushed her books aside to make more space for the other Slytherin girl.

Aerea hugged the shadows of the wall, being roughly bumped by a couple seventh year Gryffindors. He kept his head turned down so as to better stare at the floor that moved under his feet while he walked. He had his book on potions with him, the ratty thing full of dog-eared pages and scraps of paper for bookmarks. He just kept shuffling down the hall, and then froze. He thought he had seen his brother, but it was some other Gryffindor. He sighed softly and glanced at his book for a moment. I'll need to tell him eventually, he thought to himself.

"Oh it was nice. My parents and I took a trip to a nice tropical resort and all. It was rather peaceful. I'm excited for this year, because I'm not going to miss a bucket load of classes! You have no idea how happy I am!" Ada grinned as she did a small fist pump. Soon some jerk from another house walked on over and leaned over to try and get to Ada. "Hey girl." He said, trying to be smooth.

Having caught sight of Aerea, Zel waved towards the male Slytherin eagerly. "Come sit with me and Ada, Aerea!" she said as she smiled towards him, moving her books even further aside so that she would be able to make space for Aerea as well. She was always very fond of the younger Slytherin boy, viewing him as a younger sibling of some sort. The fact that both of them had a sibling----well, Zel once had----made it able for her to relate to him even more. "There's still enough space here for all of us, don't worry." she said as she stuffed her bag underneath the table. The smile froze, however, when she saw the boy trying to talk to Ada. "State your business then get out of here." she said coldly, drastically different from the smiling cheerful young girl who was waving towards Aerea. She was very tempted to punch him in the face, but thought that it wouldn't be to proper to use force in front of Ada and Aerea.

The guy pulled back in alarm and put his hands up. "Geez chill. I was just trying to talk to her for crying out loud. That's all." Ada turned away from the moment when she heard Aerea's name. She had to go and say hi to him, he was such a nice kid and all. Soon she turned towards Zel again and laughed awkwardly. "Actually he's trying to ask me out..." She let out an uncomfortable laugh.

"Well, he should know better than to do something so utterly stupid. As if we would want to be with the likes of his kind." A thin, mocking smile pulled on Zel's face as she looked towards the male. "Shoo, shoo. Go away and find someone in your own house to drool over." she said as she waved her hand in annoyance. "We have more things to worry about than to waste time with you."

Aerea looked up at hearing his name, then dropped his gaze and shook his head, his mouth pulled in a grim line. He turned down to the far back where no one was sitting, wondering if he should actually go look for his brother and tell him. Or maybe just waiting here would be good. Aeternus was coming eventually. No, not today, he thought. He paused and fixed his robe sleeve. Just one day more, and he can be with his friends and things. And then I'll tell him. I'm sure it can wait for one more day. But he had been thinking that sort of thing for the past several days now.

"... Geez lady." He glared at her. "Since when did you become the head of Slytherin?" He snapped back at her, obviously trying to push her buttons. Ada let out a nervous laugh, seeing that this was going to end badly for the poor unfortunate soul who had wandered over here. However something else caught her attention when she heard a choir of squealing, and some minor cursing as a Gryffindor boy had seemed to enter the Great Hall. That boy being Zachiel Fallon, a sixth year student known for having an eye patch that apparently made him more attractive to the ladies. With a sigh, Zachiel slowly walked into the hall and headed over to the Gryffindor table in hopes of finding his best friends. Perhaps they could book it the moment they met up again.

Aeternus was idling behind, but he soon moseyed his way over to the Gryffindor table. He was about to take a seat, when he saw Zachiel up a few tables. He hopped right back out of his seat and ran over to his friend, dodging a cluster of Hufflepuffs. "Oh, Zachiel!" he grabbed his friend by the sleeve and dragged him back. "Don't go wandering off now. Let's just take this table here." He plopped his books on said table, and dropped down into a seat, letting go of his friend. "Seen Everhart by any chance?" he added.

"Nope but dude, we need to get the heck out of here..." Zachiel said, slowly sitting down. "The cult has noticed us already..." He nodded towards the group of girls with wide eyes and scary grins looking towards them. "The moment we get Everhart we are getting out of here. No questions asked. I'm not going to relive the horror that was last year's last day." What happened was that just as Zachiel had finished packing and bidding goodbye to some of his friends, a huge group of girls attacked him in a fury of sadness. It was pretty awful and he prayed to God or whatever that this event would not repeat.
Sitting at the Ravenclaw table and looking over a huge stack of books, Arael had been telling her sister Candice about what sections of each book for each class mattered so she wouldn't have to pull all-nighters and develop insomnia. Candice stared at the pile of books, looking rather overwhelmed. But she had forgotten that the majority of the books before them were actually her sister's books. "... So many books..." Candice whined a little bit. "Arael you're going to have your head explode." "Candice, trust me. I can live through this year. A lot of people tell me that." Arael let out a small laugh before ruffling up her sister's hair. "Besides, you have it easy this year."

Aeternus sighed. "Not even a peaceful meal without them," he muttered. "And if that's your attitude on it, then we may as well skee-daddle. You know how Everhart is about his fanclub." He stood up again, casting a worried glance their way. It was like looking into the eyes of a kraken. He shuddered to think of LAST TIME. He had not faired so easily either. "You know what we need? An invisibility cloak. Like the one from the legends of the famous Harry Potter. He and his mates got into and out of all sorts of things. At least we could get a moment's peace outside of class then, eh?"

"Yes we desperately need an invisibility cloak." Zachiel slowly stood up as well, shivering at the glance the cult had shot them. "Good god I feel like we're being watched by wolves..." He winced. "Their gazes pierce into my soul and I can even feel my soul get pierced." He spoke in a whisper. Soon some Gryffindor girls apart of this cult slowly looked up at them with similar glances. He gulped and turned to Aeternus, mouthing: 'Why us?'.
Candice had noticed some girls looking towards the Gryffindor table. She gulped a bit and poked her sister. "Sis... why are these girls giving the Gryffindor table the stare of death?" She asked. "Well that would be because for some reason they find three of the Gryffindor boys to be quite attractive. So they've formed a cult to worship this ridiculousness." Arael replied, reading one of her newer books she received for this year.

"Listen, boy; I'm feeling a bit generous today and since all of my friends are around I don't feel like making scene at the moment. Scatter before I decide to change my mind." Zel replied as her eyes narrowed, her tone now threatening with all of it's former sweetness gone. "You won't want to get in trouble with me. Because once a fight is started, I always end it. Period."
Ginny was skittering into the Great Hall when she suddenly caught the sight of two certain people. At first she wasn't sure if she saw correctly, so she stopped to get a better look. Then she squealed; it was a squeal of joy and surprise. "Zach senpai! Aeternus senpai!" her voice was shrill due to all the excitement it had within it. "Oh dear Merlin, I can't believe that it's really both of you together! Would you mind taking a moment and signing my...er..." her hands fumbled in her bag before she pulled out a thick textbook. "Well, I suppose my History textbook would have to do for now; I can't seem to find my dairy anywhere." (OOC: HAVE FUN)

The guy sighed and slumped off, defeated. "What a brat..." He muttered. "Um... Zel. I could have just outright rejected his offer and it would be fine." She laughed a little bit.
Zach stopped in his tracks hearing a fangirl behind them. He slowly turned and faced Ginny, gulping a little bit. "Umm..." he looked to Aeternus for answers, because if he gave her an autograph, this whole room would explode with girls trying to murder them and basically be a much worse version of last year... which might even have the three end up dying under a pile of girls.

"I suppose. I just can't stand the sight of him." Zel said as she sighed in an apologetic way. "Sorry about that." she smiled towards Ada and Aerea, beckoning the latter to sit with them. "I hope that didn't spoil the year for you. How was your summer?"
Ginny didn't seem to notice Zach's discomfort; if she did, she certainly didn't show any sign of concern towards it. "Pretty please?" she asked as she leaned a bit forward towards their table. "It's just a signature; it won't take you long, I promise."

Aeternus looked at the freaky fangirls, then, at Ginny, then at the freaky fangirls, and that's when he saw their murderous glares. He sighed. "Tell you what," he said to Ginny, looking back at her, keeping his voice low. "After first period class, meet us back here. I'll sign your book. But don't let the Cult catch wind of it, alright?" At least then they wouldn't be swarmed by the fans, and at least then Ginny would get her autograph without having a hundred jealous girls try to murder her for it. He didn't have favorites per se, but he knew just by watching Everhart's fanclub that some of these girls could be downright treacherous if they thought someone was singled out as best, and Ginny was such an innocent looking girl. Plus, she called him senpai. No one ever called him senpai. It was cute.

"Y-Yeah! Keep it a secret ok?" He said with a whisper. "Besides Everhart would probably be with us as well... but yeah. Just don't say anything about it!" He laughed uncomfortably, he really didn't want to have a massacre on the first day of school for crying out loud. He saw the murderous stare in their eyes again and looked to Aeternus, smiling weakly and whispering. "We must find a invisibility cloak."
Arael let out a sigh and slowly got up after a bit. "C'mon sis, we need to get going." She and Candice then began to head out of the great hall.

Brooklyn yawned lazily as she walked into the Great Hall, she froze at the surprising sight of the massive people inside. What time was it? She didn't care, as long as she got her food. But with hundreds surrounding the table, it wasn't likely she would get past through anyways. As Brooklyn tried her best to squeeze her skinny figure by the screaming girls, she murmured quietly - thinking nobody can hear, "Wow, you're attractive, aren't you?" Whilst rolling her eyes, she mentally sighed at the stupidity of these girls. What? It wasn't like they were going to like a bunch of girls that potentially could murder them. Or maybe they will... Who knows. There are only three things she cared about right this second and none of them concerned the supposedly attractive males standing in the hall. One, where her best friend Gumi could be. Two, food. And three, food.

Ginny blinked innocently. She didn't quite understand why it had to be a secret, but she nodded and agreeed to it anyway. Plus. Evenart senpai would be there too! "Of course." she said as she smiled brightly. "I suppose I'll see y'all around, then." she waved them goodbye, before joining her friends at a table nearby.
Gumi stretched lazily and yawned as she set her books down heavily beside her. School year again. Uuurrrrgggghhhhh. It was evident that the Gryffindor prefect had yet to recover from her summer time laziness. Blinking back tears, she regarded the Great Hall around her wearily. Everything was still the same, Zel of Slytherin getting in trouble with the other houses, and Aeternus... "Poor fellow." she murmured as she watched Zach and Aeternus, rather amused by their nervousness in front of their fanclub members. They seemed to have a young fan bothering them at the moment. "Poor, poor Aeternus. Hopefully the girls won't do something too out of limits this time." she mumbled underneath her breath as she tore her gaze away and started to focus on the breakfast in front of her.

Aeternus watched her go, then sighed, exasperated, "ugh, great... one slipped through my defenses. But she asked so nicely..." He would just have to bemoan his plight later. "Let's go find Everhart, Zachiel. And maybe an invisibility cloak while we're at it. I think i know where such an item might even be." He had all sorts of plans now.
Aerea thumbed through some pages of his potions book, pulling it open and holding it up to hide his face. Now that he was resolved not to tell Aeternus, he did not want his brother seeing him today. So far, he seemed distracted enough. But Aeternus was a sharp one. If he was looking, he would spot Aerea. Aerea was not that hard to spot where his brother was concerned. He stared at the page he had opened to. A polyjuice potion. How quaint. It was one of the first he learned how to make as a first year.

Brooklyn broke free of the fan-girls pyramid and raced to her best friend instead. "Gee, I have forgotten how chaotic this school was. And how violent!" She exclaimed. "In this case, I don't even understand the rush for gold. It's just three boys, have they never seen them before or something? They're making my head hurt. Ahh, do you think they'll excuse my absence if I told them the fan girls made me have a fever?" Brooklyn rambled on yet stopped dead in her tracks as she saw the breakfast on Gumi's plate. "W-w? H-how did you get breakfast before I did? I came here before you! Oh, I swear those fan-girls are going to pay for not preventing me to see the love of my life." She paused, "You know, his name's food." She added quickly.

"Alright... let's scram." Zachiel said, scanning the crowd for Everhart wherever the heck he was. He sighed and then looked over to the Hufflepuff table seeing that Gabriel Clarkson was laughing a bit at them, since fangirls were looking at the two. He glared at Gabriel and continued on.
Ada sighed a bit and looked to Zel. "It seems like the cult has noticed their idols over at the Gryffindor Table." She whispered to her.

"Well there goes the showoffs." Zel said as she rolled her eyes once she caught sight of what Ada was mentioning. "A sight comparable to the California gold rush sometime in the 1900s. Simply wonderful." she grumbled under her breath as she smiled cynically towards the fan girls. "It's like they've never seen a male before, all marveling and idolizing like they're the last of their kind."
"I don't know how I got breakfast faster, maybe it's because of my sleepy appearance and all the heavy books that I was carrying. I'm sure that none of them want me to run into them." Gumi said sympathetically as she moved a bit to make space for Brooklyn. "Come on, it's not that bad. One thing is true though. The true love of a girl's life can only be three things: food, flowers, jewelry. Three that would never betray you unless death." she said as she nodded, purposely pretending that she was contemplating on some deep life philosophy. "Anyways, never mind the nonsense that goes on about. How was your summer?"

"My summer?" Brooklyn's face was unreadable for a second, then she smiled. "Nothing much, just muggle stuff that's really fun and pranking my relatives at a family meeting with my cousin dearest. Didn't get to see my divorced daddy but who reallly cares." She shrugged as she grabbed a piece of bread and stuffed it into her mouth. The rest of the words was muffled and by the end, Brooklyn was just smiling innocently at Gumi. "So, what do we plan on doing today? Do you have your schedule? Or will we just eat all day and sleep?"

"I already got my schedule, and as a prefect I really don't think eating and sleeping all day is the best example to make for our fellow house mates." Gumi said as she tilted her head thoughtfully. "I do wonder when the first prefect meeting is though; then we get our patrol schedules and whatnot. I bet it'll be fun, dealing with all the first years." she said as she made a face before stuffing some more scrambled eggs into her mouth. After she finished gulping it down, she turned to Brooklyn again. "Well, what can you say. It's just life. At least we're not the ones getting murdered by fans, don't you agree?"

"Holy Merlin! I forgot to tell you I'm a prefect too!" Brooklyn exclaimed excitedly as she chugged down a bottle of orange juice. "I don't see what they see in them, just a plain sag of potatoes in my opinion. Not literally. Oh, you know how I like to compare everything to food! And thus, they are a bunch of potatoes. Old ones even. I can't wait to take points off from those fan girls for disrupting the silence and trafficking the hallway. Preferably not Gryffindor students though. " The newly prefect frowned thinking about it. She shook her head, "Ready to go? I need to walk around a bit to get used to here again."

"That's wonderful! And just as long as you don't abuse your power as a prefect too much I'm fine with you teaching the fan girls a lesson." Gumi smiled as she finished the last bit of her her breakfast and then stood up. "Well, why don't we go check out our dorms first, then?" she asked as she picked up her pile of textbooks. "We can drop our stuff down there and then go explore."
